To address ongoing health care issues and inequities facing rural South Dakotans, the fifth annual statewide Rural Health Equity Summit (RHES) was held September 5, 2024 at the WDT Event Center in Rapid City (800 Mickelson Dr.). The summit brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, advocatess, community leaders, and other stakeholders committed to improving health equity in rural South Dakota. The event featured keynote speakers, informational sessions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and share innovative solutions to the unique health challenges faced by our rural communities. Plan to join us next fall (2025) to help shape the future of rural healthcare across South Dakota.
