Monthly AHEC Scholar Profile - February 2025

My name is Kendall Kidder, and I am a sophomore Biomedical Engineering and Pre-Med student at Mines. I am from Casper, WY. My hobbies include working out, playing basketball, pottery, and anything outdoors. My goal is to become a physician, and I am also pursuing my degree to someday incorporate engineering into medicine. There are so many different pathways that can take medicine far with the help of engineering and it is truly fascinating to me. I joined the AHEC Scholars program to expand my knowledge in rural health. It’s eye opening seeing the difference education can make on rural communities’ health care.
