Meet one of our 2023 AHEC Scholars! This month we are excited to feature Logan Colwill, a biomedical engineering/premed student at SD Mines!
Logn Colwill - South Dakota Mines pre-med/biomedical engineering student
My name is Logan Colwill and I am a Biomedical Engineering student at the South Dakota School of Mines. I am originally from Crooks, SD, a small rural community north of Sioux Falls. I am planning to become an MD and have a particular interest in medical oncology. I find the long-term relationships that are made in this specialty to be extremely fulfilling. Last summer, I earned my EMT certification at WDT. Currently, I work in the Emergency Department at Monument Health and also volunteer at the Cancer Institute in Rapid City. Outside of medicine, I enjoy lifting, hiking, and playing baseball.
